When we started our Ministry Highlights, we designed it specifically for highlighting ordinary people doing extraordinary things in the Body of Christ. As I get ready to introduce you to our newest highlight, I can honestly say that there is nothing ordinary about these two!
Draped in colorful tattoos, body piercings, and hair colors that would make Cyndi Lauper green with envy, Brian and Amanda Blalock are not your typical missionary couple. I use the word typical very loosely here because Brian and Amanda get it...God is not concerned with the outer appearance, He is only concerned about that inner man (or woman) in you and your obedience to follow His calling on your life.
I can truly say that when Jennifer and I first met the Blalocks we fell in love with them instantly. We knew that we had met our forever brother and sister in Christ. As a matter of fact during our recent vacation (a break from missionary tours), the highlight of our trip were the hours we spent with Brian and Amanda. Truly the fruits of this awesome couple can be seen and felt thousands of miles away from Alajuelita, San Jose, Costa Rica.
I recently caught up with Brian and Amanda in the midst of a busy summer with their organization 6:8 Ministries.
